Procedure

We need a business email address, your first name and surname, the name of your (sole trader) business and a telephone number. Once you’ve provided these, you can get started straight away and try out Skribble on your own or with your team.

You can try Skribble free of charge for 14 days with no obligation. No credit card is required, and you will never be automatically switched to a paid plan.

You can cancel your account yourself at any time: if you are the admin (i.e. you created the business account), click on ‘Admin area’ in the menu on the left, then on ‘Plan and billing’ in the top left-hand corner, and finally on ‘End trial’ at the very bottom. The business account will then be removed and you will only have your personal account left. If you’d like to delete this as well, click on ‘My Skribble’, then on ‘Settings’, and at the very bottom you’ll find the ‘Delete account’ button.

No, never (not even after the trial period has ended).

Once the 14-day trial period for Skribble has ended, we will ask you if you would like to upgrade to a paid plan. To do so, you will need to enter your payment details. If you do not take any action, your business account will be converted to a free personal account. You and your team will then still be able to sign documents by invitation and continue to access all signed documents. Should you later decide that you would like to continue using Skribble after all, you can sign up for a plan of your choice at any time.

During your trial period with Skribble, you’ll have free access to all the features of the Pro plan (find out more about all prices and plans). You’ll have unlimited member accounts and can try out 20 e-signatures for free.

During the trial period, you can sign documents free of charge using all e-signature standards: the simple electronic signature (SES), the advanced electronic signature (AES) and the qualified electronic signature (QES). For the QES, identity verification via live video call, mobile app or online banking is required. Some methods of identity verification incur a charge (please see our prices and plans for details).

Yes, during the trial period you can also create a qualified electronic signature (QES) free of charge. It is up to you whether you use the free e-signatures for SES, AES or QES. For QES, however, a one-off identity verification is required for each member via a live video call, mobile app or online banking. Some methods of identity verification incur a charge (please see our prices and plans for details).

Yes. With Skribble, all e-signatures are also digital signatures, which means that during the trial period you can create digital signatures with us free of charge.

You can switch from the trial period to one of our standard plans at any time. To do so, click on ‘Plan and Billing’ in the admin area, then click on ‘Upgrade’. You can then choose one of our available plans, enter your payment details and continue signing straight away. Alternatively, send us a message and we’ll discuss which plan is best suited to your business on an individual basis.

Security

Skribble stores your data on high-security servers in Switzerland. We naturally comply with the requirements of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (DSG). Your documents are also encrypted using AES-256 and are therefore protected against access by third parties.

Yes, using Skribble enables you to comply with all the requirements of the GDPR.

Yes, because with Skribble, the digital signatures you create for free are no different from those you pay for. They are just as legally valid.

If you do not choose one of our paid plans, we recommend the following: you can switch members you added during the trial period to our free version. This ensures that they continue to have access to their signed documents and can sign documents by invitation. However, inviting others to sign documents is no longer possible in the free version. If you delete your free account, any saved documents will also be deleted.
